Fagor Industrial takes part in two key events in the hotel and catering trade: the 15th National Congress of Hospital Caterers and San Sebastián Gastronomika 2013

Fagor Industrial, a Spanish company, leader in integral solutions for the hotel and catering and laundry industries, continues to show its support for the Spanish hotel and catering sector with its presence and patronage of the 15th National Congress of Hospital Caterers and the 15th edition of the San Sebastián Gastronomika 2013.

The 15th National Congress of Hospital Caterers starts today and continues until 4 October in the Hotel Santos Nelva, Murcia. For the fifth year running, Fagor Industrial is to sponsor the congress and will be present at stand 17, a 9 m2 space from where it will promote the new range of ADVANCE ovens. In addition, this year it will have two hospital food distribution and regeneration trolleys, thanks to the collaboration of its French partner Electro Calorique.

In this area, Francisco Javier Sánchez, Director of the Hospital and Large Groups Division at Fagor Industrial, states that “the current economic climate has resulted in a slump in investment; nevertheless, as a basic community service, hospitals have to adapt to the change, and consequently continue renovating with the result that interesting projects are still emerging for the sector”.

In addition, Fagor Industrial continues to offer its support to the gastronomic event of the year with its patronage of the 15th edition of San Sebastián Gastronomika, and the loan of machinery for the cooking demonstrations.

Now in its 15th edition, San Sebastián Gastronomika will take place between 6 and 9 October, as always, at the Palacio de Congresos Kursaal in San Sebastián. As in previous editions, Fagor Industrial will provide the equipment required for the five demonstration and preparation areas: the two stages, the workshop, the internal trade area and the “cooking with” classrooms.

The main attraction of the equipment provided by Fagor Industrial will be the Symphony kitchen, which is to be transferred from the Oñati showroom to the stage in the main auditorium (known as the “Big Cube”). The equipment on stage also includes an ADVANCE PLUS combined oven, an ADVANCE cold table and other work tables. The second stage (the “Small Cube”) will be similarly equipped with another ADVANCE PLUS combined oven, neutral and cold work tables and a show cooking buffet element. The internal trade area will work with equipment including cooking units from the 700 range, combined ovens, refrigerated cabinets, a chill blaster and a top-loading dishwasher. In addition, the “cooking workshop” classroom will be equipped with another show cooking buffet element. Lastly, the “cooking with” classroom will be fitted with an ADVANCE PLUS oven, a counter top chill blaster, an induction plate and additional work benches.

Furthermore, Oier Biritxinaga, corporate chef for Fagor Industrial, will be present during the four days of the congress to provide guidance on the use of the machinery on loan.
